The five topic groups below are editorial navigation derived from the recovered titles. They help locate a citation; they do not summarise conclusions from unseen papers. “Ijtihad” here refers to juristic reasoning, and “fiqh muamalah” to jurisprudence of transactions; these short glosses are reading aids.

Research catalogue
Original English titles and author spellings are retained so you can trace citations. Honorifics are part of the historical credit, not a claim about current credentials. Several rows share titles but name different authors; Arabic/English variants are retained without treating them as separate original findings. Years and issue details are absent from the table. [1]

The “Islamic Law and Custom” citation needs a separate record
The saved IEFpedia post cites the old category URL for Islamic Law and Custom and credits Mohamad Akram Laldin in its body. The mirrored English text independently names him and begins on printed page 121 with Islamic Law and Custom: Historical Account From the Time of the Prophet Till Present. It introduces a historical account of Islamic law and custom; internal references to chapters show that the complete parent-work identity still needs verification. No publication year has been established. [2, opening page] [3]
That title and author are absent from the eleven rows in the recovered June 2009 category. We therefore keep the external text as an associated citation outside the reconstructed catalogue. Absence in this one snapshot does not prove it was never listed earlier or later. The folder name 2009/10 and the post date are not a publication date. The fresh post request returned 403; its earlier saved citation is labelled accordingly. [1] [2] [3]
3 · A source link does not prove collection membership
Saved IEFpedia post points to id 269. Fresh post access 403.
Mirror opening verifies credit and English title; printed p. 121. Publication year unknown.
Keep as an associated citation outside the recovered catalogue; other dates remain unknown.

The saved referring post points Islamic Law and Custom to category id 269. The external English text credits Mohamad Akram Laldin and starts on printed page 121. The recovered 21 June 2009 category table does not list that title/author. Membership at any other date remains unverified, so this is an associated source outside the catalogue.
Turn a research question into a useful document check
A Malaysian reader example, newly written: a financing document mentions a lease and a promise to transfer ownership. Rows 8–9 may help you locate research with that topic in its title. They cannot tell you your purchase price, who pays for maintenance, when ownership transfers, or what happens if the agreement ends early. Ask for the current Product Disclosure Sheet, signed terms and ownership-transfer document, then compare the exact clauses. The papers’ unavailable contents are not used to fill those gaps.
Similarly, a commodities title does not prove that a bank owned a commodity or that a sale happened. Seek transaction records identifying the asset, seller, buyer, ownership and payments. These are editorial verification questions, not an assertion about these authors’ conclusions. A symposium review title is not itself the underlying fatwa, a Malaysian regulator’s decision or an endorsement of a provider. For business supervised by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), BNM’s official page explains its Shariah Advisory Council’s scoped role; this historical catalogue cannot replace the applicable reference. [4]
Muslim readers may use research to understand a religious concern; non-Muslim readers may use it to understand a contract or compare obligations. Public reading access and product participation are different matters. No product application, eligibility rule or current Shariah verdict is offered here. These records contain no current tariff: verify profit/rent, fees, taxes where applicable, late-payment charges, early termination and protection exclusions from the particular provider documents.
- Match the exact title, credited author and language; repeated titles can be different papers.
- Use “publication year not stated” when the evidence gives only a capture or upload date.
- Mark a catalogue-only citation as metadata only; do not attribute a conclusion without the text.
- Keep a paper’s argument, a symposium decision and a present product contract distinct.
- For the associated Custom text, obtain the parent-work citation before supplying a year or claiming category membership.
