IIJIF is a fully peer-reviewed journal, published bi-annually in June and December since December 2009. The Journal has a track record of timely publication and quality content. It publishes articles of academic rigour in the areas of Islamic economics, banking, finance, capital markets, takāful (Islamic insurance) and law. It also promotes articles authored by practitioners who have experience in applied Islamic finance as well as short articles to showcase initial findings of current research works or on-going projects.
As at date, IIJIF is abstracted and indexed by:
- Index Islamicus
- EBSCO Products
- Scientific Indexing Services
- Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)
Through indexation in several database services, the Journal has become more accessible to a larger number of readers, paving the way for articles published therein to get better seen, read and cited.
Starting from June 2017, the International Shari’ah Research Academy for Islamic Finance (ISRA) has partnered with Emerald Publishing to publish IIJIF. This initiative helps expose articles published in IIJIF to the widest possible audience, maximizing international readership and helping research make the greatest impact. It has further increased service excellence to authors, providing an efficient and convenient online author submission system that ensures full oversight on the progress of articles during the review process.
Authors are requested to submit their articles for consideration of review and publication in the IIJIF through the ScholarOne system at:
