Kuala Lumpur, November 30-December 1, 2011 – The Sixth International Shari‘ah Scholars Forum (ISSF 2011) was organized by the International Shari‘ah Research Academy for Islamic Finance (ISRA) of Malaysia, in collaboration with the Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI) of the Islamic Development Bank (IBD) in Jeddah. The forum was held at the InterContinental Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 30 November – 1 December, 2011 (4-5 Muharram, 1433H).
International Shari'ah Scholars Forum (ISSF)
Kuala Lumpur, October 25-27, 2010 - The Fifth ISSF Forum was held at the Nikko Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 18 to 19 Dhu al-Qadah, 1431 (25 to 27 October, 2010). It was organized in a partnership between the International Shari'ah Research Academy for Islamic Finance (ISRA) of Malaysia and the Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI). The Fifth Forum represented the fruits of systematic planning and focused efforts, building upon the experience gained in the four previous conferences.
Kuala Lumpur, December 18-20, 2009 - The International Shari‘ah Scholars Forum on Islamic Finance is an annual event organized by the International Shari'ah Research Academy for Islamic Finance (ISRA) Malaysia. It brings together some of the most prominent scholars of Shariah and Islamic finance from all over the world. The fourth annual meeting was organized in a partnership between ISRA and the Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI) with the collaboration of the Department of Fiqh and Usul al-Fiqh of the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). It was held at the Nikko Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 1 to 3 Dhul Hijjah, 1430 (18 to 20 November, 2009).
Kuala Lumpur, December 23-24, 2008, International Shari`ah Scholars Dialogue (ISSD) is an event that gathers prominent Shari`ah scholars from around the globe. ISSD was previously organized by Bank Negara Malaysia in 2005 and 2006 and this year ISRA took the privilege of organizing the third ISSD on the 23-24th December at Hilton, KL. The objective of the dialogue is to enhance the existing collaboration efforts on Shari`ah matters and strengthen the framework for cooperation and harmonisation amongst Shari`ah scholars.
